According to the company’s press release, the technology is further enhanced by its intelligent capability to optimize audio for diverse room layouts and speaker arrangements.
It enables every seat to become the ultimate viewing spot in the house. In conjunction with this, TCL is launching a range of complementary wireless speakers that align with their upcoming lineup of TVs integrated with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect.
John Couling, Senior Vice President of Entertainment at Dolby Laboratories, said: “Dolby Atmos FlexConnect is an entirely new category of experience that offers consumers the freedom and flexibility to choose how they want to arrange their devices while still getting a great immersive Dolby Atmos experience.”

FlexConnect aims to address a common challenge: optimizing speaker placement in various room sizes and layouts. Some spaces limit the ideal speaker arrangement due to their dimensions or unique layouts, which can include obstacles such as furniture placement or power outlet locations.
Dolby noted that FlexConnect frees its users from the constraints of speaker placement, allowing them to position wireless speakers wherever they choose.
The system combines the TV’s built-in speakers with accessory devices, resulting in optimal sound performance tailored to the user’s home environment.
