Corrupt iOS profiles preventing developers from downloading the latest beta [Update: Fixed] – 9to5Mac

-

A short lived concern is preventing developers from downloading the latest iOS and iPadOS 14.5 beta and watchOS 7.4 beta at present. The bug isn’t impacting the macOS developer beta or any of the public betas at this level.

Update 10:30 am PT: We’re seeing the concern resolved with the developer beta profile downloads working once more.

A wide range of customers have shared on Twitter this morning that an error is preventing them from downloading the iOS 14.5 developer beta 6.

When attempting to put in the profile from Apple’s Developer web site, the warning “Bad Profile” exhibits up and says “This profile is corrupted and cannot be read.” A remaining error message reads “Safari could not install a profile due to an unknown error.”

We’ve confirmed the concern and it seems to only be affecting the iOS and iPadOS 14.5 beta 6 and watchOS 7.4 beta for developers. We discovered the public iOS/macOS beta profiles are nonetheless downloading usually in addition to the macOS 11.three developer beta 6.

This shouldn’t affect anybody who already has the profile put in from seeing the beta 6 OTA present up.

iOS 14.5 beta 6 brings a few main adjustments with new Siri voices in addition to a brand new battery recalibration function for iPhone 11 units.
