(BPRW) HBCU Football Season is Here!

(Tech Zone Daily) As we enter the fall season, that can only mean one thing. . . HBCU football is back! Students, alumni, and communities gather for one of the most exciting times of the year. From the captivating energy of the marching bands to the pride of seeing Divine Nine organizations stroll and step, and of course we can’t forget the thrilling homecoming celebrations.

Every weekend, stadiums are filled with the sights and sounds that make HBCU traditions special and unforgettable. Tailgates bring families, friends and generations of alumni together over food and fellowship. Then you have Homecoming activities and events that showcase school spirit. For many, these traditions mean more than football, they are about legacy, HBCU pride, Black excellence, and unity.

If you’re looking to experience the HBCU magic, here are some can’t miss games and homecomings happening this fall.

  • Howard University vs. Temple University, September 6 at 2 p.m.,

Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA 

  • Albany State University vs. Florida A&M University, September 13, at 7 p.m.,

FAMU Bragg Memorial Stadium, Tallahassee, FL 

  • Prairie View A&M University vs. Southern University, October 18 at 4 p.m.,

A.W. Mumford Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA 

  • Delaware State University vs. North Carolina Central University, October 25 at 1 p.m.,

O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium, Durham, N.C.

Homecoming Events

  • North Carolina A&T State University Homecoming, October 5 – 12
  • Florida Memorial University Homecoming, October 12 – 18
  • Spelman College Homecoming, October 12 – 19
  • Howard University Homecoming, October 19 – 26
