If this is true, then Twitter accounts with no blue check marks will not be able to have their content on the FYP section.
This is a major issue since Twitter’s verification marks are no longer free. Now, here’s what Twitter users say about the sudden announcement of Elon Musk.

One of them explained that Elon is forcing Twitter users to pay for the Twitter Blue service, which costs $7 per month.
Another one said that instead of forcing Twitter users to subscribe to Twitter Blue, the social media company should invest its money into talent and AI technology to detect bots.
So people who aren’t “verified” can’t even get their voices and content out there now? This is literally gonna make twitter obsolete, why be here when we can share content ANYWHERE else for free without a pay to win fyp, I don’t understand this decision at all

I don’t get behind this decision. You need to invest money into talent and AI tech to detect bots on the platform.
This isn’t the way to go. It could tarnish the platform

Just a reminder to everyone—Elon is a rightwing media mogul with massive conflicts of interests in various fields that require government oversight and regulation—who’s openly and not so openly—utilizing his giant personal social-media platform to serve his own political purposes

I don’t understand your marketing strategy here. You, the richest man on Earth, made it seem like me, a renter, am some kind of fancy “elite” for having a blue check so someone couldn’t impersonate me. You devalued it by making it seem like only status obsessed losers want it.

Twitter: Getting Verified Before Vs. After Elon Musk Takeover
CNBC reported that Twitter blue check marks were free before Elon Musk acquired Twitter.
The social media platform verifies accounts as a way to identify them if they match real people or companies.
Most Twitter accounts that receive verifications are those belonging to journalists, celebrities, government officials, and organizations.
However, after the billionaire took over, he decided to change this system. Instead of relying on Twitter staff to actually verify Twitter accounts, he decided to launch Twitter Blue.
This subscription service, which costs $7 per month, will allow anyone (if they meet the platform’s eligibility requirements) to be verified.
In other news, the Twitter Blue relaunch allegedly made millions of dollars in revenue. We also reported that Twitter’s two-factor authentication is no longer free.
