Kim Potter, the Minnesota police officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright, will be charged with second-degree manslaughter for his killing, a prosecutor stated Wednesday.

Potter resigned from the Brooklyn Center Police Department on Tuesday, alongside with the division’s chief, as a result of of the controversial shooting, which occurred Sunday afternoon.
