Get a Cheap Bathroom Renovation for Black Friday

-

There are Black Friday deals, and then there are Black Friday deals. Most deals are the kind that show up later on your porch from Amazon (see WIRED’s guide to the best early Black Friday deals). But fixture and plumbing mainstay Kohler is doing something a little different, and a lot bigger, for the holidays.

After all, Kohler is big—one of the biggest family-owned manufacturing empires in the country. And the stuff it sells is big. And so Kohler’s Black Friday sale likewise thinks big, offering discounts on life-changing bathroom and kitchen installations. Enter the promo code BFCM25, and you’ll get 5 percent off bath and kitchen orders above $800, and 10 percent off orders bigger than $1,600.

Depending on the size of the kitchen or bathroom renovation you’re gifting yourself for the holiday season, this can add up to a discount of hundreds of dollars.

Kohler Bathroom Black Friday Deals

Kohler wasn’t always a bathroom giant. Back in the 1870s in Wisconsin, the company was founded as a farm implement company by Austrian immigrant John Michael Kohler (who looked a little like a husky Leo DiCaprio if you squint hard enough). But then a decade later, Kohler quite literally invented the bathtub—a clawfoot design still popular today among those with a yen for nostalgia. By the 1910s, according to their company history, Kohler also inaugurated the “integrated-apron” bathtub that’s in more common use today.

So Kohler knows how to make a bathtub, is what we’re saying—including a wide variety of hydrotherapy models—and handsome shower fixtures. Modern bathroom collections from Kohler include decor sets designed by lifestyle influencers like Jenn Lake or Jenni Yolo, as well as some people who are not named Jennifer.

But around the WIRED Reviews team, Kohler is mostly considered heroic because they make WIRED’s favorite bidet priced for mere mortals. Which is to say, they make the best version of the most civilized domestic innovation of the current millennium.

Kohler Kitchen Black Friday Deals

Among kitchen fixtures, Kohler offers faucets, kitchen sinks, and lately a line of water filtration systems—including reverse-osmosis and two-stage sink filters designed for those worried about PFAS and microplastics.

But again, rather than offer discounts on any individual items, it’s pretty much the whole kitchen setup that’s on sale during Black Friday. This amounts to 5 percent off for total purchases of $800 or more, and 10 percent off on total purchases greater than $1,600.
