Apple Original Ted Lasso simply scored another award. This time, Jason Sudeikis gained the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
This marks Ted Lasso star and government producer Sudeikis’s first Screen Actors Guild nomination and win.
“Oh man, oh man, are you kidding me?” mentioned the star of Ted Lasso on receiving the award through the digital ceremony. “I want you to thank my fellow actors. I want to thank my mom, for bringing me to plays and musicals in Kansas City, every touring company that came through, whether it be Phantom of the Opera or La Cage aux Folles.”
Aside from the Screen Actors Guild award, Ted Lasso final month gained three Critics Choice Awards for Best Comedy Series, Best Actor in a Comedy Series, and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
As of now, Apple has obtained a complete of 345 awards nominations and accolades, and 91 awards successful since Apple TV+ launched over a 12 months in the past. Awards embrace Critics Choice Awards, Critics Choice Documentary Awards, Daytime and Primetime Emmy Awards, NAACP Image Awards, a Peabody Award, a Golden Globe Award, and extra.
Ted Lasso season two will premiere this summer season alongside The Morning Show, Home Before Dark, Truth Be Told, and extra.
