United Airlines began accepting purposes for its flight academy on Tuesday, a part of a push to rent 10,000 pilots by 2030 as extra of its aviators attain the federally mandated retirement age of 65.

The airline introduced in February 2020 that it bought a flight school, however the Covid pandemic pressured it to put coaching plans on maintain. United is now resuming plans to refill pilot ranks and put together for development as journey demand returns.
